First of all, We did not get any context about the blue man so there is a chance that the man is stealing the car.

The person who’s driving the vehicle maybe didn't see the raccoon coming.If it was an accident it won't  be a crime.

A man stealing money can be a crime because it's his decision to steal money.

The man on the bed could have killed himself or either someone sabotaged him that made him die.

The person lying down with a wound on its chest is considered murder its either the person who killed its self or somone killed him.

The two vehicles can be a crime or an accident. It is a crime if the other person who's driving the vehicle was to intend to bump into the other

Business and enterprise

 Business and enterprise is all about the teamwork and the outcome groups make with under 20 dollars. My groups name is called KJBD frenzy plush.co and our plan is to make approximately 10 plushies and sell them for under 7 dollers.We are thinking to make it in the textiles room with our advisers help. We are up to the stage where we are going to send our finance letter to our adviser.

 Our aim is too make functional house lights that displays how many light bulbs,voltage, and current. Below is my groups project.

Below is our calculations of our area and voltage + current.

The terms volatge,current, and resistance mean. The voltage is the thing that makes the electrical charges move. For currents job helps the flow of the electrical charges and electrons. And for resistance it controls the flow of the electrical charges. For my group we decided to calculate the area first of the rooms and the length of the house. And discuss how many bulbs will be in the house, which we ended up with 12 bulbs.

For me I didnt really enjoy the whole project of how many work we have to do.

ESOL highlights term 3

 Term 3 of ESOL was a mixed feeling of happy and annoyed. First of all, I did'nt enjoy the taskes we got set during our session but the movies were a bonus becuase somtimes I get to chill and watch. The best lesson for me was when my teacher planned games for my class to do. And I really enjoyed the silence and the movies we got to watch becuase we didnt get to do much work. I was really proud of my Wonder tasks becuase it was one the activities I enjoyed alot. For me, I could work on being on task and double check my work becuase somtimes I might get a mistake. In my opinoin, I really wish we could do some more fun activities and like do some kahoot or quizlet activites. It was a really nice experince to do ESOL so soon I will be able to be better at english and fluently speak in a audience and present.

ESOL term 3

This term has'nt been the best but it hasnt been the worst . The work and games that our teacher provided  made it more fun and enjoyable to do. And to be honest i dont hate esol. it accually one of the best classes ever and very enjoyable.

A few of my favourite things!

 Today for our Wanaga lockdown work, my class and I got set a task about a few of our favourite things. below you can see a chart of what are some of my favourite things. So far learning at home again is pretty overwhelmimg but the tasks we get set are pretty enjoyable

P.E Volleyball

 For the past few weeks, my class has been doing volleyball as our class sport. My skills were average in my opinion because I have played volleyball many times. My skills right now are really good because of the training and practising for what we are doing in the. Right now I can jump serve and spike really well which is very useful.

For me, the hardest thing in volleyball is just trying to calculate the airtime for me to spike because sometimes I miss the spike. Volleyball is very fun and everything is what I like about it. Next year I might do P.E for my choices so im not really picky for what i want so i just really want to have fun.

 The song we had to listen too was really refreshing for my mood because of the intruments that was imbedded in the song. In such way, the song  really reminded me of Little Mermaid. All I could imagine  was to feel good and it had a nice vibe and ring to it. 

Discorvery Health

 In health we were set a task that required us to discover about a topic and I chose depression and all about it. Our success criteria were to have linked answers to the key concepts, have answers all 6 BIG questions in detail,have described strategeus that will imporve outcomes in relation to your chosen issue, and work a well presented and a proud presentation.

Firstly we had, to pick a topic including 6 BIG questions. my was all about depression (below is photo of my 6 BIG questions.) Then once we had our 6 BIG question we had to advice or relate to the question and right it in a presentation. After all the work, we got a shose to do somthing for our creat activity. My whole class chose diffrent activities but I  chose to make a poster. I chose to do this becuase it was nice and simple and i dident want my creation to be really detailed even though we had to. We learned that these strageties can help me and you if you listen very closely.

It was challenging when i had to catch up to the class when I was behind from the other students in my class. But then i coped with the challenge but calming down and got straight to work. So far in my opinoin I did really good at my work and felt that i achieved somthing. So next time ill focus on not talking all the time to get all my work done.

Do Now week 2

 A schooner is a large boat consisting with 2 triangle sails and 2 more larger squared sails. A normal schooners length is less than 313 feet with a weight up to 1,300 pounds. the colors of a schooner dont look bright but with a more simple variety with grey,white,red,or commonly brown. If was  to ride on a schooner I would see blue waters with the wind blowing against my face. As that happens, I would be standing in the middle of the boat gazing faintly through the breeze awaiting for my destination.

Types of energy

 Today's session we are learning about the types of energy and the energy transformation which the energy is past by other things. 

Heat energy- power used by heat

kinetic energy - something that uses movement to 

sound energy- energy that we can hear

light energy - energy that you can see and can brighten up dark spaces

Electric energy - something that is powered by Electricity 

elastic energy -  when you stretch something like a a rubber band you give you transfer energy by stretching it

Chemical energy - something like food and fuel that give energy to something or someone

gravitational energy -  an energy that falls from high off the ground as the gravity pulls it faster

The U Boats

U boats naval submarines that were operated by the German navy soldiers.

 The Length of a usual U-boat is up to 214 feet with the weight up to 1,051 tons 

An average U-boat can carry 35 men and 13 torpedo 

the cay

  My prediction is that they are deserted in the island and that the boy was washed out and was found by the black seaman and his companion. The boy and the sea work to together and help to keep each other alive and safe.

Convection and Conduction

Convection and Conduction are both types of heat transfer where energy is passed from hot to cold. When something passes through heat it will move faster, and as they move faster and faster they become more hotter. We can do this by Conduction energy to transfer through contact.  For 2 examples of good conductors  there would be like stove tops and pans because the stove top gets the heat from electricity and transfers the heat to the pan and to the food. And for Thermal conductor it can pass on heat to other objects. for convection they generate  heat without contact and for and example like heaters, they generate heat with using contact and as it does that the hot stuff rises and the cold stuff sink. Today we did a experiment by using  a tea bag  to allow it to rise and during the experiment We lit the tea bag to let it rise up. While it rose up we noticed it became less dense when it rose up and more dense when it sunk down the reason behind this is that  when it sunk down it become for compacted and when it went up it became faster and faster and transferd the energy to each other.

Chromatography

 Today me and my class will be doing an experiment involving chromatography. Chromatography is the process of separating  a mixture based on the pigments. and my hypothesis is  what colour it will turn out and how it will turn out. here is the method below. My outcome was very good because the colour pigments started to slowly come up to the paper.

1- Draw a line across the filter paper in pencil, 5cm from the bottom.

2- Draw a coloured dot in the centre of the line.

3- Measure out 10mL of water and place in the test tube.

4- Place the filter paper in the test tube and fold over the side. MAKE SURE THE PENCIL LINE/ DOT IS NOT IN THE WATER.

5- Wait for 5 minutes and observe the results

STEAM e-textiles

My groups plan is to gather and our resources first and plan our design with our admired choice. so far my groups big question is "how we can manufacture clothing without using to much resources." Our design is based on how fashion will look in 2050. In the bottom of this blog is our design and ideas on how it will look like.

week 9 do now

 In my opinion,  being able to be confident when public speaking is an important life skill because it can help with many different things like, talking to your class, being able to do a certain speech in a crowd. And it also make you feel good about yourself and boosts your self esteem to keep going. Relating to this statement,  I know as a student is really hard to have confidence in public speaking but just a little courage can do lots of things through out your life.

Debating

  Today my class will be focusing on debating for our up coming event. these are a few facts that i have gathered about debating. What is debating? Debating is a formal method of arguing about a topic. Debaters job is simple, they have to influence the audience for them to be persuaded on the topic the debater talks about. In relating to Debate, pro and cons are used for the session of debating. Pro means is an advantage of something and con mean a disadvantage. and for short Pro meaning "in agreement" and con meaning " in disagreement." Proposition is a meaning of judgement or opinion which relate to debating, the reason is that it the audience needs to judge the opinion about the topic.

 The IP skill that I used today was giving out warm fuzzies to my group. The games we played so far were twister and guess who. For me Twister was the most hard and more challenging out of the two games we played, but Guess who was more easier and just challenged us to figure out who the opponents person was. But

Week 9 do now

In my opinion Matariki should be a  public holiday because we should all celebrate it together as a family and spend some family time. Backing up my statement, it is very important for each other to spend some time with family and learn about matariki.

week 8

 Why English is the most important subject to learn in school. In my opinion English is very important not only for school but through out your life. first, you can communicate to other foreigners or people and second it is just really useful for different kinds of things. Gathering all my facts we know that English should be the most important subject in school.

Distillation

 On Monday we will be doing a practical called Distillation.Distillation is the scientific experiment used to show the processes of evaporation and condensation. Evaporation is making liquid into gas by heating it up. And Condensation is turning gas into a liquid.  The aim is about evaporating coke and seeing how much sugar is in each of the coke products. and my hypothesis is how it will be evaporated and what will happen to the coke.During our practical, we noticed that our coke zero started boiling and entering the tube attached to the conical flask.When the liquid  started to travel to the tube the boiling tube which was covered with ice to condense the the coke. at the end of the process all that was left was the bits of ingredients that was inside the coke.

Behavour Reflection

In my opinion I am always learning ready because I get to school in time and  and  usually get my work done in time. In every class I usually aim for excellence in every thing I do. And through out my school life I always bring to school a can-do attitude and always bring a positive smile to everything I do. When teachers talks to me or tell me what to do, I use manners to them to be respectful and kind. And the areas I am currently working on are usually meet dead lines and line up respectfully. For me meeting dead lines and lining up respectfully is sometimes a challenge because one I usually get distracted or get to lazy. So for me, next time I need to be more mindful about the areas I need to work on.

Concentruction and Dilution

 Today we are learning about Concentruction and Dilution. Concentruction is a measure of how much solute is dissoled into a solvent or for short, how much of somthing is dissolved in a liqued. And dilution in the other hand means  making something less concentruction which means there will be less particals in the liqued. in the bottem is our method for our experiment. Through our  observation we put in the purple in  crystal

 Your name is an important part of who you are. why? So that people such as family members and friends c call you in a specific way. But in my opinion we should all have our own specific way to be called so that it would be easier for people to know who you are.

5 polices and facts of the government

 This term for social studies we have been learning and talking about the policies we agree about. On of the policies I chose was to lower the voting age to 16 years old. First of all some communities want more votes for the governments. Because some people usually say that people who are 16 can be responsible about them.

• -Members of parliament usually earn between $160,000 and $180,000 a year. 

• -Ministers can earn between $250,000 and $300,000.

• -The Prime Minister's salary is set at $470,000.

• -usually work full time, though some, particularly community board members, work part time and do other jobs

• - they can work in offices, council chambers, at parliament and in the communities they represent

 the principal is the most important person in the school because he is practically  the head of the whole school involving them with meeting to talk about school events and how the school curriculum has to be. With more information involving about my statement is that they our the ones who run the whole school and they are advised to keep the school the best it can be.

Filtering

In today's session my class are separating liquids.  Filtering is a gadget that separates something from a liquid.  My hypothesis is that it might separate the liquids together. down below is our method

Method: 

1. Pour approximately 50mL of copper sulfate solution into a beaker.

2. Add the same volume of sodium carbonate solution. A reaction will happen, you should see a cloudy blue precipitate form. Called copper carbonate. 

3. Watch demo then fold filter paper to fit inside the funnel

4. Place the funnel with the filter paper inside of it, into the mouth of a conical flask. 

5. Stir the mixture in the beaker, then carefully pour it into the funnel. 

6. Observe what happened.

During our practical we filtered the two liquids together and the out come is the the top of the funnel is filled with the blue sludge and at the bottom of the conical flask.

100 word challange

This week for ESOL we started to do our one hundred word challenge for our activities. So far I wrote about my music and my culture. but through out ESOL I will be doing more of these topics

shark infested custard

Today for one of our practicals for Health, we played a game called Shark infested custard, we just needed all 6 of our team members across the basketball court with 3 hula hoops and we also could not shuffle the hoops and touch the court. my team was really good but one down fall was that we shuffled some hoops. but at the end we communicated with each other and got to the end at the end.  

Cup activies

 My class did in activity which tested our patient and interpersonal skills. The activity was easy, we just needed to put our 5 cups to the other table and the fastest time wins with all the cups in the other cup. I was really proud in my team because we cop-orated and got 14 seconds ending up with 4 cups .

Types of governments - Kurt Warde

 Democracy

Democracy means that we can change their rules in a peaceful way.

My opinion- In my opinion democracy is not my favourite because Some people might think that the person they are voting for might not be the best for the countries.

The country that has it- In my country (which is New Zealand) our government is democracy which is how Jacinda Adearn became prime minister.

Monarchy

Monarchy means that the leader's siblings get past down their spot to carry on the generation.

My opinion- Monarchy is my favourite and the reason behind this that it is really fancy and we don't have to worry to much about it.

The country that has it- England is one of the countries that have monarchy in their country.

Dictatorship

A small group of people possess absolute power without constitution limits.

My opinion- This government is pretty decent but the quileutes don't satisfy me to be one of my favourite governments.

The country that has it- China is one of those countries that have Dictatorship as their government. But there are more names that have the same situation. 

Communism

 a system in which goods are owned in common and are available to all as needed

My opinion- I mean i like this government is good but things are missing that it isn't the best. Like the leader owning the stuff people have.

The country that has it- Cuba is more on the communism government than other governments.

Totalitarianism

Totalitarianism is a form of government that attempts to assert total control over the lives of its citizens

The country that has it- North korea is one of the famous countries that are known to have Totalitarianism.The citizens in North Korea have lots of limits than other countries with Kim jong un as their supreme leader.

Oligarchy

a small group of people having all the control of a country or organization

The countries that have it- Russia is one of a lot of countries that have the government as an Oligarchy.

Anarchy

Anarchy does not have a government in a country.

Countries that have it- India is one of the countries that are involved with the countries that have Anarchy.
